Cavit, short for "Cantina Viticoltori del Trentino", is a very important cooperative reality in terms of volume that brings together 11 social wineries, totaling over 5,000 grape growers scattered throughout the Trentino territory. The foundation of the winery dates back to 1950, when a group of winemakers, aware of the exceptional wine vocation of their land, decided to associate themselves, giving life to a Consortium of Social Wineries, the embryonic form of modern Cavit. Over the decades, the dimensions have expanded exponentially, and today Cavit occupies as much as 60% of the entire vineyard area of Trentino.
Inside the Wine Box Cavit 'Bottega Vinai', there are 6 different labels from the 'Bottega Vinai' selection, all strictly from Controlled Designation of Origin, produced from a selection of the most vocated wine areas throughout Trentino, including the Piana Rotaliana, the hills of Trento, the Vallagarina, the Brentonico Plateau, the Cavedine Valley, Roveré della Luna, and the Valley of Lakes. These are expressions of both traditional varieties, such as Lagrein and Nosiola, and international grape varieties, such as Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Sauvignon Blanc. These grapes are cultivated with respect for the health of the environment, using the most modern equipment and techniques in the sector.
