The box ‘An Extravagant Dream’ – Sorsi e Parole d’Autore is a bundle of almost magical size that has the rabbit as its representative animal. In fact, inside the box, there is both the famous novel ‘Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ in its original language, among whose characters stands out the White Rabbit, and the Beaujolais ‘L’Exthase’ from the producer Jean Max, a rustic French red wine, on whose label a hare is depicted, symbol of the Domaine. In particular, the vigneron Maxime Barrot, alias Jean Max, operates in the municipality of Charnay, at the southern tip of Beaujolais, embracing a genuine and sustainable production philosophy that is the basis of the authenticity of the wines produced.
‘An Extravagant Dream’ – Sorsi e Parole d’Autore is a box that contains a bottle of Beaujolais ‘L’Exthase’ by Jean Max, the edition of the publishing house Bompiani of the book ‘Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie’ written by the British author Lewis Carroll, a black corkscrew signed Callmewine, a bookmark with a quote from the book, an explanatory card that tells the content of the box and an elegantly designed wooden box. The Beaujolais ‘L’Exthase’, “the ecstasy” in French, is a 100% Gamay from vines cultivated according to the tenets of organic and biodynamic agriculture within the municipalities of Charnay and Rivolet. These are old vines over 70 years old, rooted in clay-limestone soils. In the cellar, whole bunches undergo 20 days of carbonic maceration before aging for 7 months in wooden barrels. The result is a juicy and drinkable Gamay, very fresh and smooth, with remarkable typicity.
