'Amacos' De Sanctis 2024
Organic and biodynamicThe Frascati "Amacos" is an aromatic white wine, vinified in steel without sulfur and aged in barrique for 6 months. Aromas of linden, peach, and ripe fruit, combined with honeyed nuances, enliven a full, intense, and very balanced sip.
The Frascati "Amacos" is an aromatic white wine, endowed with a pleasant structure. Thanks to the aging in wood chosen by the De Sanctis winery, as well as the entirely organic winemaking process, it leads to grapes particularly rich in aromas and flavors. A label that is always a safe choice and is also characterized by an interesting potential for aging, as evidenced by this 2014 vintage, still full of joy and life in the glass.
This Frascati "Amacos" is born from a blend dominated by Malvasia di Candia – present in the final blend at 90% – and a touch of Trebbiano. The vines of these varieties are between 35 and 40 years old and grow in a predominantly volcanic soil, rich in mineral residues. The vineyards are managed by the De Sanctis winery using organic practices aimed at reducing the environmental impact of production. The must ferments spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature. No sulfur is added, and the wine rests for six months in barrique, before finally being bottled.
The Amacos is a Frascati that presents itself with a deep straw yellow color, crossed by more golden flashes visible at the rim. On the nose, there is a aromatic profile, which leans on floral and fruity notes, enriched by a slight hint of honey. On the palate, it has excellent body, concentrated, with a sip that flows in perfect balance; it finishes with a long-lasting aftertaste. A label that pairs well with various recipes and ingredients that characterize the aperitif hour: always have it on hand!
