Barbaresco Montersino Orlando Abrigo 2021
Orlando Abrigo's Barbaresco "Montersino" is an elegant and profound interpretation of the appellation, made from grapes grown in the prestigious vineyard of the same name in Treiso. Located almost 400 metres above sea level, with south-east exposure, the vineyard enjoys ideal conditions for the grapes to reach full ripeness while preserving their freshness and balance. The name Montersino seems to derive from the Latin Mons Ursinus, "bear mountain", reflecting the presence of these animals in past eras. The nose reveals hints of ripe red fruit, accompanied by balsamic, spicy and slightly toasted notes. On the palate, it is taut and juicy, with defined but harmonious tannins and a long finish. Ideal with Piedmontese mixed boiled meats
