The Bas Armagnac Millesimé by Dartigalongue is a fine and important Armagnac. The bouquet is rich in notes of honey, caramel and dried fruits. The taste us silky and velvety, with fruity aromas and a very elegant slightly tannic finish

The Bas Armagnac Millesimé is an elegant and refined label, representing a prestigious version of this historic French distillate, which Dartigalongue has been producing since the early 19th century. The minimum aging for the vintage is 15 years, but even after many decades, they retain their qualities unchanged. They are produced only in the most favorable years and with a selection of the best grapes of Ugni Blanc, Baco, and Folle Blanche, the three typical grape varieties of the region. High-quality base wines, a careful distillation process, and long aging in barrels give life to Armagnac with a unique and inimitable taste. It is a label reserved for great connoisseurs, who appreciate the expressive nuances of the vintage.

The Millesimé is the pure and authentic fruit of a single great vintage, capable of expressing harmony, intensity, and aromatic richness. It is the result of Dartigalongue's great experience, which has been producing Armagnac since 1838. The estate is located in Nogaro, in the Bas Armagnac area where some of the mostprestigious crus. The soils characterized by the presence of sand and silt are ideal for giving the base wines subtle profiles and great finesse. The distillation process takes place with a low-temperature continuous still, which preserves elegant fragrances and aromas. At the end of the distillation process, the Armagnac begins aging. In the first phase, the distillate rests in dry barriques to soften its youthful harshness, then in wet barriques, which help to smooth the profile of the Armagnac, making it more alluring.

The Bas Armagnac Millesimé is the highest expression of Dartigalongue's experience and artisanal savoir-faire in producing excellent labels. A collector's bottle to be enjoyed among enthusiasts. At the end of the distillation of the best vintage base wines, the distillate is aged in 400-liter oak barrels from Gascony, specially made by local cooperages. In the glass, it presents a rather dark amber color. On the nose, it expresses soft aromas of honey, ripe fruit, citrus peels, caramel, dried fruit, and vanilla. The sip is intense, broad and complex, with a dense and persistent mid-palate, finishing with delicate spicy notes.
