The Bitter is made following the classic production procedures. It starts with a very careful selection of the best herbs, flowers, fruits, and spices, to create a perfect and harmonious aromatic richness. The recipe mainly involves the use of hibiscus, orange peel, and black currant, which provide the dominant and characteristic notes to the blend. Not using alcohol, the extraction process takes place cold, with long infusions and macerations. The final phase concludes with the blending of the various infusions and the addition of a small percentage of sugar to mitigate the slightly bitter tendency typical of some herbs.
