BORDEAUX ROUGE SUPERIEUR 'SAINTE RADEGONDE' CHATEAU JEAN FAUX 2017 DESCRIPTION

The Bordeaux Rouge Superieur "Sainte Radegonde" by Château Jean Faux is a wine that embodies the classicism of the blends from the Saint-Emilion area. In fact, the Merlot blends with the Cabernet Franc to define a rounded and perfumed profile, in which the fruit is combined with more tertiary aromas and the mouthfeel appears to be of great depth. This is the perfect label to accompany great meat dishes, making it a truly luxurious accompaniment when you are planning a formal dinner.

This Bordeaux Rouge Superieur "Sainte Radegonde" is a blend of Merlot and a smaller part of Cabernet Franc. These vines are cultivated near the town of Sainte-Radegonde on clay and limestone soils with a south and south-west exposure. In the rows and in the cellar, the main practices follow both organic farming and biodynamic principles. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using the whole cluste, then the wine matures in stainless steel tanks with manual pumping over at least three times a day; the subsequent malolactic fermentation takes place in barriques. Final ageing takes place in two stages: first 14 months in 25% new barriques, then a further 10 months in steel tanks.

The Bordeaux Rouge Superieur "Sainte Radegonde" of Château Jean Faux presents itself to the eye with a concentrated ruby red colour, particularly intense and deep. The nose opens on small red forest fruits, then enriched by sensations that lean more towards cocoa and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied, ample and swathing on the palate, with a flowing mouthfeel thanks to a finely integrated tannic texture. A truly perfect bottle as a gift for all friends who are passionate about great French reds and who love artisanal products with a high territorial voice!
