Cabernet Sauvignon Lis Neris 2022

The Cabernet Sauvignon from Lis Neris is configured as a wine with remarkable accessibility, produced in Friuli-Venezia Giulia within the province of Gorizia. This bottle is part of the ‘Traditional Wines’ line, expressions that reflect the estate's philosophy with simplicity and naturalness, made from grapes harvested from the younger vineyards. In particular, for the Cabernet Sauvignon, low yields are maintained and extensive leaf removal is carried out to promote the optimal ripening of the grapes. Over the years, the Lis Neris winery has established itself in the Friulian wine scene thanks to its exceptional interpretation of international grape varieties, both red and, especially, white.

Lis Neris Cabernet Sauvignon is made exclusively from grapes of the same name, a black grape variety of French origin, grown on a gravelly and calcareous plateau between the municipalities of San Lorenzo, Corona, and Romans. The vines are on average 15 years old and are cultivated following integrated pest management protocols, without the use of chemical herbicides. The harvest is carried out by hand with a careful selection of the bunches and the subsequent alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, with 8-10 days of contact between the must and the skins, implementing regular délestage and paying attention to separating the seeds. Subsequently, the mass is placed in oak barrels of 225 and 500 liters for maturation of 15 months.

The Friulian Cabernet Sauvignon from the Lis Neris winery has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of red fruits and fresh flowers are perceived, combined with pleasant herbaceous sensations typically varietal. Round and flavorful tasting, with an elegant smooth tannic structure that leads to a persistent finish on the olfactory notes.
