The Catarratto “Prio” is made from pure grapes of a great indigenous Sicilian white grape variety, widely cultivated throughout the island, the Catarratto. The vines of this variety are grown near the Tenuta di Contessa Entellina, within vineyards located in hilly areas at an altitude ranging from 200 to 600 meters characterized by a clayey loam subsoil. The grapes, once harvested, undergo alcoholic fermentation in steel containers, where they then remain to refine for about two months.After bottling, the maturation continues in glass for a period of three months, after which the wine is ready to be released on the market.
This Catarratto wine "Prio" presents itself visually with a bright, very inviting color. The aromas that develop on the nose evoke fruity and Mediterranean sensations, enriched by light nuances that remind one of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied, velvety, with a sip characterized by a pleasant freshness.
