Abbia Nova's Cesanese del Piglio Superiore 'San Giovanni' is an intriguing red wine from Latium, a cru produced in a few, precious bottles. The vinification respects tradition and territory: spontaneous fermentation, long 20-day maceration, and 12 months of ageing in oak. The nose expresses a complex profile of ripe red fruits and delicate spicy hints. Solidly structured, very balanced on the palate, with noble tannins and remarkable persistence.
