Chambertin-Clos de Beze "Les Ouvrees Rodin" is an amazing and important red wine coming from one of the most suitable Grand Cru of Burgundy. A rarity with an elegant, majestic and aristocratic profile, capable of expressing all the potential of Pinot Noir. The nose reveals a very large and refined bouqet, with notes of small red fruit, red flowers, sweet spices, mentholated and toasted memories

The Chambertin-Clos de Beze “Les Ouvrées Rodin” by Faiveley originates from Burgundy, particularly in the wine heart of the region in the area of Nuits-Saint-Georges extending to villages like Gevrey-Chambertin, Pommard, and Volnay. The winery has historic origins: it was founded in 1825 and has always been run by the same family, which today boasts the seventh generation. The lands owned by the family are immense and include 10 hectares of Grand Cru, 25 of Premiere Cru, and 3 monopoles. The name “Les Oeuvrées Rodin” is a tribute to the painter and sculptor Auguste Rodin, of whom the family was a patron.

The Pinot Noir grapes from “Les Ouvrées Rodin” Chambertin-Clos de Beze by Faiveley come from a plot of old vines about 60 years old. The climate in this area is continental, as it is far from the sea: cold winters with temperatures even below zero and mild summers with temperatures not exceeding 28 degrees. The soil is composed of marls and limestone, interspersed with layers of ancient marine fossils that give structure and body to the wines. The harvest takes place in the first decade of September; fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts in open-top vats; following a slow and gentle pressing, the must ages for 12-18 months in barrique before being bottled without filtration.

The Chambertin-Clos de Beze “Les Ouvrées Rodin” by Faiveley presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color and brilliant reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe red fruit, spicy notes, and light balsamic hints on the finish are perceived; on the palate, there is a presence of character tannins, perfectly integrated with the elegant structure of the wine, with hints of juicy fruit and spicy notes on the finish. It pairs perfectly with cuts of meat from the French tradition, as well as with game; excellent also with first courses with significant seasoning. A unique product destined to accompany great formal occasions, but also family celebrations to enjoy a unique wine, the result of the work of skilled hands.
