Champagne Rosé Brut Grand Cru Jacques Selosse
Artisanal
Rare winesSelosse's Champagne Rosé comes from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes from the Grand Cru of Avize, Verzy and Ambonnay. This is a great expression of rosé d'assemblage, deep and full, with oxidative, toasty and spicy aromatic nuances, of great richness and complexity!
The Brut Rosé from Selosse is an exciting and multifaceted sparkling wine, considered one of the best rosé Champagnes ever. Anselme Selosse has become part of the Champagne legend, and today he is probably the most respected and imitated recoltant manipulant in the region, thanks to expressions that transcend all previously known interpretations. Rich classic methods, with a deliberate search for oxidation and grapes harvested at full ripeness, so that the fruit expresses all its generosity. Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, located among the best crus of the area, and vineyards managed strictly in biodynamics and vinifications that involve a negligible addition of sulfur. Wines out of the ordinary, that overwhelm those who approach them. Before and after Selosse!
The Champagne Brut Rosé comes from a blend consisting of 90% Chardonnay from the vineyards of Avize and the remaining 10% from Pinot Nero from the vineyards of Verzy and Ambonnay. The vinification follows the classic stages adopted by Anselme, therefore after harvesting fully ripe fruitand grown biodynamically, the grapes are brought to the winery to ensure that the fermentations of the base wines start spontaneously. Use of the Soleras method, therefore with the presence of multiple vintages in the final wine, and after blending and refermentation in the bottle, aging for at least 36 months on the lees.
The Brut Rosé Grand Cru presents itself in the glass with a pale pink hue, of medium intensity and a lively and persistent foam. Rich and of great complexity on the nose, both luscious and refined at the same time, offering notes of wild strawberries, pastry cream, rhubarb, and orange peel. Intoxicating and charming, however, it is on the palate that it changes pace and surprises those who taste it: a full sip, made of fleshy and plump matter at the same time, endowed with a prodigious length as well as an infinite versatility at the gastronomic level. A nectar, for which one could lose their head!
