Chianti Classico San Felice 2023

The Chianti Classico San Felice is a Tuscan red produced strictly from indigenous grapes. It is a wine that reflects the classic nature of the type, of medium structure, with a particularly elegant profile, offering clear and defined aromas and flavors on the nose and palate. A label that, for the quality it offers, comes at a truly democratic price, highlighting once again how the great know-how of the winery manages to create products truly for all budgets.

This Chianti Classico is made from Sangiovese grapes, to which 10% Colorino and an additional 10% Pugnitello are added. The training systems chosen for these three varieties are those of guyot and spurred cordon. The soil is characterized by being medium-textured, rich in skeleton and clay of calcareous-marl origin. The harvest, which begins during the second week of September and ends during the first week of October, is done manually, bringing healthy and ripe bunches to the winemaking facilities of the San Felice winery. The must ferments, macerating for 8 days, in steel tanks. The aging lasts for 10-12 months and is carried out in Slavonian oak barrels.

The red wine Chianti Classico San Felice presents itself to the eye with a beautiful ruby color, bright and with a particular brilliance. The range of notes on the nose moves on subtle touches, where references to flowers and fruit intertwine with each other, unfolding with different nuances. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a sip characterized by a fresh and harmonious texture, from which a well-crafted, light tannin emerges. A label of marked personality, which can be left to rest in the cellar for another 3 or 4 years, to taste it with an even more evolved character.
