At the end of fermentation, with classic skin maceration, the wine matures for at least twelve months in 35-hectoliter French oak barrels and completes its aging process with a few months in bottle.

The Chianti Classico “Tenuta Sant'Alfonso” from Rocca delle Macie is a bottle born to enhance the facets of the territory of the Castellina in Chianti estate. In the glass, it presents an intense and bright ruby red color. The olfactory profile is elegant, with aromas of cherry, sour cherry, small dark berry fruits, blackberry, black currant, hints of soft spices, licorice root, aromatic herbs, vanilla, toasted and roasted notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with dense and evolved tannins, complex and dense aromas, harmonious and deep, that lead to a very persistent and balanced finish.
