"Breit" is a Cremant d'Alsace Extra Brut of the winery Melanie Pfister whose acronym derives from Hangenbriete, the name of the vineyard. A classic Alsatian sparkling wine produced from 50% Chardonnay with equal parts of Auxerrois and Pinot Blanc, which ferment for the first time thanks to indigenous yeasts and refermented according to the Classic Method in bottle, where the wine stays for at least 24 months on fine lees. Cremant d'Alsace Extra Brut is an Alsatian Classic Method that gives off great freshness and balance. It is one of the splendid bottles signed Melanie Pfister, a young winemaker who represents the eighth generation of her Domaine. After her studies in oenology between Bordeaux and Burgundy and a long experience among famous wineries such as Zind Humbrecht, Cheval Blanc and Meo-Camuzet, Melanie decided to take over the family business that has been active since 1780, bringing with her freshness and innovation. Despite the modern set-up, Melanie also wanted to enhance the old tradition by producing wines as they used to be made with ancestral and artisanal methods. The cornerstone of her thinking is to safeguard terroir and convey it in her bottles. Cremant is the Domaine's only sparkling wine of great success by virtue of a sleek, fragrant and creamy profile that has won over even outside the borders of France.

Pfister's Extra Brut Cremant is a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois grapes from the Breit vineyard, located a few kilometers from Strasbourg. The soils have a good slope and are composed of a limestone matrix, benefiting from the cool winds that blow through upper Alsace. Harvesting is done only by hand and the grapes are vinified in steel with spontaneous fermentation by native yeasts. Maturation takes place in the bottle on fine lees with a duration of at least 20 months.

Cremant Melanie Pfister is colored a bright and delicate straw yellow, with a perlage of great finesse and persistence. It unfolds with a very fragrant aromatic profile of fresh white fruit, sensations of bread crust, custard and citrus. Conquers on sip for great finesse and elegance, enlivened by a limpid mineral freshness and a refined bubble. Alsatian finesse in liquid form!
