The Gewurztraminer ‘Perelise’ is a fresh, crisp, and expressive wine, with an exuberant and very typical aromatic profile. The bouquet is rich and includes notes of yellow fruit, lychee, roses, citrus, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is soft, warm, and enveloping, with good freshness and savoriness.
The Gewürztraminer “Perelise” is part of the Selezioni line of the Cantina Colterenzio. A South Tyrolean reality that produces wines from grapes sourced from the best vineyards in the area. The aging in steel preserves the fragrance of the seductive varietal notes of this beloved aromatic grape, which expresses soft notes of exotic fruit, floral nuances, and sweet spices. A grape with an unmistakable bouquet, born from a spontaneous mutation of Savagnin Blanc or Traminer in the northeastern area of France and southeastern Germany, which has found its home in the Oltradige area for several centuries, where it expresses a rich, enveloping, and mature profile.
The wine “Perelise” is made from a selection of grapes from Gewürztraminer vineyards cultivated in the area of Colterenzio, Cornaiano, and Appiano. The ability to choose each year from different parcels allows for the creation of harmonious wines with great balance, perfectly reflecting the identity of this great aromatic grape. The vineyards are located in an altitude range ranging from 400 to 550 meters, on poor soils made up of gravel, sand, and limestone deposits. After the harvest, a brief maceration is followed by a very gentle pressing to extract only the free-run juice, which is then fermented in steel. The wine matures for several months in steel before being bottled.
The Colterenzio "Perelise" is a Gewürztraminer characterized by delicate and elegant notes, without seeking an opulent aromatic exuberance or excessive softness. A fragrant white, rich in intense and complex aromas, yet maintaining the right freshness and sapidity, ensuring immediate drinkability. In the glass, it has a bright light yellow color. The aromatic profile opens with floral scents, aromas of yellow fruit, soft tropical hints, with lychee and passion fruit prominently featured and seductive memories of oriental spices. The sip is very harmonious and caresses the palate with rich and juicy fruit, well balanced by a citrus freshness.
