Gin Montevertine is a label dedicated to enthusiasts and connoisseurs, produced in a few hundred bottles. It is a small artisanal production, the result of a close collaboration with a trusted distillery, which has managed to interpret the spirit of one of the best estates in the Chianti Classico area with finesse and elegance, always at the top of the denomination. It is a Gin with a very classic profile, inspired by the best models of London Dry, which offer a dry, essential taste and intense aromas of citrus, balsamic herbs, and juniper.
The Gin from Montevertine arises from the desire of one of the most renowned wineries in the Chianti Classico area to create a great distillate, to accompany the historic production of “Aqua Vite Le Pergole Torte”. The estate's location within a territory characterized by still wild and unspoiled nature, rich in natural biodiversity, has pushed the famous Tuscan brand to try its hand at a version of the famous distillate from northern Europe. The label is born from an accurate selection of botanicals including dried lemon peels, walnut leaves, fig leaves, the indispensable Tuscan juniper berries harvested from the company estate in Radda, along with a series of other herbs. The botanicals are processed using the ancient method of infusion in alcoholic solution. At the end of the maceration and extraction of all the aromas, distillation is carried out to obtain an intense and highly fragrant Gin.
The Gin produced by Montevertine is a bottle for connoisseurs in search of interesting novelties, capable of expressing a territorial connotation, typical of small production realities, far from industrial standardization. To the eye, it appears absolutely clear and transparent, with brilliant and luminous reflections. Elegant and refined, it offers a bouquet characterized by aromas of lime peel, citrus aromas, grapefruit, lemon, vegetal hints of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub, medicinal herbs, delicate spice aromas, and fragrant balsamic notes of freshly picked juniper berries. The sip is clear and linear, thin and essential, with aromas of remarkable expressive purity and a fresh, harmonious finish with good taste persistence.
