The Sicilian Dry Gin Hemisphaerica from Nysura Distillery is a distillate with a Mediterranean profile, the result of a research project by a Sicilian artisan reality, committed to enhancing the region's excellence. It is born at the foot of Mount Etna and is part of the gin labels that have radically changed the landscape of distillates in recent years, offering an infinite array of versions, strongly tied to the production territory. Starting from the classic and essential model of London Dry Gin, the Sicilian distillery has focused entirely on the purity of the distillate, selecting the best wild juniper berries from the spontaneous flora of the volcano, which thrive in soils composed of sands, lapilli, and ancient basalt flows.

The Sicilian Dry Gin Hemisphaerica is the result of the passion and research of Nysura Distillery. At the base of this fragrant and refined gin are the berries of Juniperus communis harvested on Etna and processed while still fresh and fragrant, rich in intense aromatic components. To enhance the exceptional quality of the raw material, a particularly careful processing method has been chosen. Nysura Distillery uses the cold distillation technique, which allows for the best preservation of the botanical aromas. The process involves the use of a Rotavapor, a large rotating glass sphere. The alcohol is distributed on the inner walls and then evaporates at low temperature. The vapors are collected by a refrigerated coil, which through condensation, returns the alcohol infused with aromas and scents to a liquid state. The use of very low temperatures allows all the delicate aromatic nuances of juniper to remain intact, returning its fragrant essence.

The Sicilian Dry Gin Hemisphaerica, made by Nysura Distillery, is a specialty of refined finesse, which combines the simplicity and authenticity of a natural indigenous ingredient from Etna with a cutting-edge production technique. Visually, it appears clear, crystalline, and absolutely transparent, as if from its appearance it wanted to emphasize its exceptional purity. The aromatic profile is of extraordinary elegance, with very intense and fragrant aromas of juniper berries, hints of citrus peel from helichrysum, licorice root, medicinal herbs, and fresh almond. The sip is warm, soft, and enveloping, with balsamic and resinous aromas of juniper, maritime pine, leading to a very persistent finish.
