'Giulio' Montepascolo 2020

'Giulio' by Montepascolo is an elegant wine with a strong personality. The vineyards are managed organically and biodynamically and are about fifty years old. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in cement, and the cellar for the more structured wines usually uses large oak barrels for aging. The ruby color gently tends towards garnet, while elegant notes of blueberries, spices, and hints of underbrush emerge on the nose. On the palate, it is meaty and powerful, supported by fine-grained tannins that caress the palate. An ideal companion for braised beef.
