Grappa di Barolo Sibona - 50cl
Perfect to give as a giftThis Grappa di Barolo is characterized by intense aromas that envelop the nose from the very first whiffs. Thanks to a perfect production process, where the pomace is distilled by Sibona on the same day it is harvested, in order to preserve the maximum of the aromas and scents present in it. A bottle that flows on the palate with a harmonious sip, giving rise to a satisfying and always pleasant drink, both at the end of dinner and during evening conversations.
The Grappa di Barolo, as one can easily guess from the name, is obtained from the distillation of fresh Nebbiolo pomace, a grape destined for the production of Barolo DOCG, one of the most important designations concerning the production of great red wines in Italy. The pomace, once it arrives at the distillation facilities of Sibona, is processed using copper stills. Every phase of the production process is followed with consistency, paying attention to the smallest details. At the end of the processing, the obtained Grappa is aged for 24 months in Austrian oak barrels, before make a final pass in barrique. Once maturation is complete, bottling and marketing operations proceed.
This Grappa di Barolo manifests, upon visual examination, with a light and delicate hue, reminiscent of amber. The aromas that envelop the nose tell a story made of layered notes, where sweet spices alternate with hints of candied fruit, nuts, and citrus peel. On the palate, it is full-bodied, balanced, broad, and enveloping, with a sip that develops with a flavor consistent with the aromas already perceived on the nose. It finishes with an excellent persistence. The umpteenth gem, of excellent craftsmanship, signed by the Piedmont distillery Sibona.
