Grappa 'SoloPerGian' Berta 2012

The Grappa "SoloPerGian" made by Berta aims to celebrate a piece of the family's history, dedicated since 1947 to the production of Grappe in Mombaruzzo, in the province of Asti. A product that is dedicated with heart to Gianfranco Berta, a true king of Grappa, a man with a good soul, who unfortunately passed away too soon, in 2015. A bottle that carries with it a special dedication, just as special are the aromas and flavors that envelop the nose and palate from the very first sips. A distillate to be savored alone, perhaps in front of a lit fire, accompanied by a good book.

This Grappa "SoloPerGian" is born from the distillation of the pomace of three grape varieties widely cultivated within the Piedmont terroir, Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Moscato. Berta, from the pomace of these three varieties, obtains three different products, the "Roccanivo", the "Bric del Gaian", and the "Tre Soli Tre". Three very distinctive and well-known Grappe, which come together to give life to the "SoloPerGian", thus summarizing an important part of the history of the distillery in a single product.distillery. The "SoloPerGian", once blended, ages for 10 years in small oak barrels, after which it is bottled and marketed.

"SoloPerGian" is a Grappa that, to the eye, presents a beautiful golden color, also characterized by more amber reflections, very inviting. The bouquet of aromas that envelop the nose is broad and layered, composed of floral notes and candied fruit, also enhanced by balsamic and pastry sensations. On the palate, it is delicate and enveloping, with a harmonious sip, perfectly balanced. A truly special grappa, which brings together three different souls, from which the project of a non-profit organization aimed at helping young artisans was born, demonstrating the family's attention to social issues.
