Macon Verzé by Domaine Leflaive is a Burgundy white wine made from Chardonnay grapes and it is aged 15 months in barriques. Mineral, intense and energetic, with fruity and citrus sensations

The Macon Verzé wine from Domaine Leflaive is a French white that comes from five parcels cultivated with Chardonnay near the various lieux-dits surrounding the terroir of Verzé. We are faced with a bottle where energy characterizes the tasting, in a nose rich with aromas that alternate flavors that develop with precise rhythmic cadences in the mouth. A label capable of telling not only the grace of the type and the grape variety but also, and above all, a territorial adherence that reveals itself in the glass thanks to a typically mineral finish. To be tried in combination with fish main courses.

This Macon Verzé from Domaine Leflaive originates from Chardonnay grapes cultivated in full respect of the limestone terroirs from which they come. The approach in the vineyard follows the criteria of biodynamic agriculture, never forgetting the humility one must have towards the forces expressed by nature. The bunches, hand-picked during the harvest, are destemmed, and the berries are gently pressed. The must obtained ferments spontaneously in traditional Burgundy pièces. The final aging lasts for 15 months and takes place in barrique. At the end of this period, the wine is ready to be bottled and marketed.

The white Macon Verzé Domaine Leflaive develops in the glass with a straw yellow color, crossed by light reflections tending more towards greenish, especially visible at the rim. The nose is concentrated, announcing a base of fruity aromas, enriched by more mineral and floral notes. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a dynamic and lively sip, characterized by a refreshing flavor and a clear and clean mineral finish. A label where the terroir speaks, transporting us, sip after sip, into the incredible landscape of French Burgundy.
