The Malvasia "Lehte" by Zidarich is a Friulian white wine from the municipality of Duino Aurisina in the Trieste Karst, in the locality of Prepotto. It comes from the old company vineyard of the same name that has its roots in a substrate of marine limestone and iron-rich clays, and after 24 months of aging in oak barrels, it presents itself with an elegant diaphanous and golden dress, an intense and mineral aromatic bouquet and an extremely elegant sip, savory and with spectacular complexity and persistence. Artisanal wine, made as it once was

The Malvasia "Lehte" by Zidarich is a white wine that originates in the Carso area, on the heights that rise from the city of Trieste towards the Slovenian border. It is produced with the Malvasia Istriana grape, a local clone of this historic variety, widespread in all the countries of the Mediterranean basin, which stands out for its delicately aromatic profile and a savory and mineral taste. The long aging in barrel helps the wine mature harmoniously, without the aromas of the wood affecting the classic varietal notes of the grape and its elegant tertiary hints. It is a prestigious label, among the most important of this legendary winery in the Carso.

The wine Malvasia "Lehte" is a white with a typically territorial face, born from the lands of limestone rock of the Carso, covered by little red soil, rich in iron minerals. It is in this extreme viticultural scenario that Beniamino Zidarich cultivates his vineyards with great passion and ancient know-how. The grapes are still vinified using artisanal methods, with skin macerations and long aging, first in large oak barrels and then in bottle. These are wines that need time before expressing their full potential, but that last for many years, reserving interesting evolutions towards mineral notes. Despite the initial difficulties, Beniamino has always remained faithful to his idea of uncompromising wine, the result of the vineyard and minimal work in the cellar, allowing the grape to find its expressive path naturally.

"Lehte" Malvasia produced by Beniamino Zidarich is a wine of extraordinary charm for its unique and inimitable scents and aromas. A label that speaks frankly and directly about the land of the Carso and its fragrances. The grapes come from a single vineyard, with an average age of about 45 years. At the end of destemming, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and skin maceration in open tanks follows, without temperature control. The wine matures for 24 months in oak barrels and completes the aging in bottle. The color is slightly hazy golden yellow. The bouquet expresses white peach, plum, oriental spices, aromatic herbs, and iodized nuances. On the palate, it is intense and elegant, with complex and persistent aromas. The finish is savory, with a fresh and mineral closure. A bottle of great value, to be enjoyed on a special evening.
