'Mansano' White Wine Denavolo

'Mansano' White Wine Denavolo

Denavolo

"Mansano" is a rustic and free-range orange wine from the Denavolo winery, originally from Piacenza. It is vinified with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks with a long stay on the skins. It has a complex and lively aromatic profile, reminiscent of citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit, aromas of peach, notes of sage and a pleasant nuance of earth and hay. The sip is of excellent tension and progression, with a flickering freshness and a delicate tannic texture

'MANSANO' WHITE WINE DENAVOLO DESCRIPTION

Mansano Bianco di Denavolo was born in Emilia Romagna, specifically in the Trebbia Valley in the municipality of Travo and in the village of Monte Denavolo from which the winery takes its name. The latter was born thanks to the work of Giulio Armani, La Stoppa's longtime winemaker. Armani has always been committed to the production of wines that can mirror the territory where they're produced, using for the processing of the raw material the most ancient and traditional practices to give life to dynamic, expressive and intense wines that tell of the beauty of Emilia.

The Sauvignon grapes in Denavolo's Mansano Bianco come from vines that are about 500-600 meters above sea level. These are grown using sustainable methods that respect the surrounding environment, involving only the use of copper and sulfur in the vineyard. The soils are clay and limestone, a characteristic that gives structure and character to the wines produced. The climate is continental with very hot and sultry summers and cold winters, subject to sporadic frosts and snowfall. The harvest is conducted manually; once in the cellar, the must undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts followed by maceration on the skins for about 10 months without any addition of sulfites or any filtration at bottling.

Denavolo's Mansano Bianco is amber yellow in the glass with brilliant reflections. The aromas it releases are reminiscent of peach and grapefruit, aroma of sage and lemon and pleasant notes of underbrush. In the mouth it is rustic and fresh, pleasantly savory with a lingering finish that entices drinking. In pairing it is recommended with hot fish appetizers, stewed white meats, as well as vegetarian dishes; also interesting with cured meats and aged cheeses. Excellent to drink throughout a meal for important family occasions or for celebrations of anniversaries or important events, sipping a wine that is the fruit of the work of an artist in winemaking who puts in each of his products his experience and passion.
