Marsala Dolce Superiore Riserva Florio 1994

The Marsala Superiore Riserva Dolce by Florio is a sweet fortified wine made from overripe grapes that matures for twenty-seven years. The wine first ages in large barrels and then, as per tradition, passes into small oak casks overlooking the sea. Produced in a few bottles, it is a small treasure of Sicilian tradition. On the nose, it is evocative, with a hint of licorice and medicinal herbs. On the palate, it is sweet and enveloping, of great pleasantness but enlivened by an acidic push that lengthens the sip, ideal for meditation or with chocolate desserts
