The Muller Thurgau signed by Kofererhof is a semi-aromatic wine that showcases the winery's skill in effectively enhancing the starting variety. Only stainless steel is used for this label, allowing the most typical aromas of Muller Thurgau to shine through, leading to a smooth and satisfying sip that immediately wins the positive opinion of enthusiasts and diners alike. A bottle that confirms Gunther Kerschbaumer's role, owner and winemaker of Kofererhof, as one of the "whites" to watch in Italy!
The Muller Thurgau wine from Kofererhof originates from several plots scattered throughout South Tyrol, located at an altitude ranging between 600 and 800 meters above sea level. We find ourselves in a terroir characterized by light, sandy subsoil, rich in slate and granite, components that impart good minerality to the final wine. The grapes, after manual harvesting, are destemmed and the selected berries are gently pressed. The resulting must ferments in stainless steel tanks, containers where the wine remains to stabilize for a few months while waiting to be bottled and released for sale.
The Muller Thurgau Kofererhof presents itself with a brilliant color, reminiscent of a straw yellow hue. Elegant and captivating, the aromatic profile translates into emotion with touches of fruit interspersed with hints of aromatic herbs. It enters the mouth with a smooth and linear sip, showcasing a shifting taste between fruity and savory. It finishes with a good persistent aftertaste. A true all-rounder in the kitchen, where from convivial aperitifs to first and second courses of "sea" it guarantees success: just make sure to always have an adequate supply on hand!
