The "Runcatù" is a macerated Pigato of Liguria with a Mediterranean and salt stamp that ages for 8 months in wood. The nose recalls the Mediterranean scrubs with aromas of pine resin, aromatic herbs, honey and sea breezes. The taste is alive, fresh and saline, with a fine tannin

The Rucantu by Tenuta Selvadolce is a rhythmic infusion of sea and scrubland, an engaging expression of Pigato. The concept of terroir, fundamental and essential, has undeniably been stripped of part of its meaning due to some apathetic, sterile liquids that are poorly connected with the land and vintage of production. Drinking Selvadolce wines, in this case Rucantù, means entering into an intimate connection with Pigato and one of its chosen locations, thanks to interpretations that allow the fruit and nature the space and rhythm necessary for both to express themselves at their best. 5 hectares of vineyards, divided between Vermentino and Pigato, following the precepts of biodynamics and not forcing anything. Non-interventionism does not mean leaving things to chance, and all the wines of the Tenuta testify to this. Precise, sparkling, expressive. Drinking a land.

The white Rucantu is made from pure Pigato grapes from vines over 30 years old, located at 150 meters altitude on limestone soil. If in the vineyard, as already mentioned, concepts like cyclicity and circularity find their place in biodynamic agriculture, in the cellar the basic belief is not distorted, and spontaneous alcoholic fermentations in barrique are carried out, and in the case of this bottle, maceration on the skins for a few days. The liquid ages for 8 months in wood.

The Rucantu wine has a vibrant and dense yellow color, due to a full-bodied material, not lightened by filtration. It brings a smile from the first sniff, for its ability to strongly transport you to a marine landscape, where salty breezes, seaweed, and wild herbs reign. Then again, orange peel, saffron, and thyme. The sip is dynamic, full, and fleshy, despite the contribution of freshness and salt that streamline the liquid and invite another taste. The sea bottled.
