The Grand Cru wine “Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain” Pinot Grigio is born from the homonymous pure grapes that the team of the Zind Humbrecht winery cultivates within the borders of the Grand Cru of Rangen. Just over five hectares of south-facing land, characterized by a subsoil mainly composed of rock and volcanic sediments. The grapes are harvested at an advanced ripening stage, when they are affected by the noble rot, and, once they arrive in the facilities designated for winemaking, they ferment alcoholically, thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, in large un-toasted oak barrels. Always in these containers the wine remains to refine on the fine lees for a few months, until the moment of bottling.

This Pinot Grigio Grand Cru “Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain” presents itself to the eye with a bright golden yellow color. Fantastic the nose, which offers deep sensations, where ripe fruit alternates with pleasantly mineral notes, from which a hint of smokiness also emerges. On the palate it has excellent structure, soft, enveloping, with a particular sip, revealing a slight sweetness in the mouth. It closes with a finish characterized by a savory and fresh aftertaste. An excellent wine, with which the Zind Humbrecht winery wins the favor of the main global industry critics.
