The Pinot Gris Vendage Tardive by Pierre Frick is an Alsatian wine of character, produced using biodynamic principles by a historic 'vigneron' in the area. The grapes are left to ripen on the vine and harvested late-a process that concentrates sugars and aromas, giving the wine a truly intriguing profile. On the nose there are hints of ripe white fruit, pineapple and citrus peel, but also honey, candied fruit... On the palate it is sweetish, a sign of residual sugar, but the sip surprises with balance: fresh, and savory, with great fragrance, it is rich and pleasantly unctuous. Perfect with intense cheeses, fois gras but also some desserts!

The Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives from the historic biodynamic producer Pierre Frick is an Alsatian white wine characterized by its rich and pleasant flavor. The type 'Vendanges Tardives', literally "late harvest", is quite common in Alsace, the first region to adopt this designation on the label. Pierre Frick interprets the type through his distinctive, truly artisanal touch, resulting in a Pinot Grigio characterized by a residual sugar just below 50 g/l.

Pierre Frick Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives is made exclusively from Pinot Grigio grapes cultivated according to the principles of organic and biodynamic farming, thus banning the use of herbicides and chemical pesticides. The harvest is carried out strictly by hand in late season, accompanied by meticulous selection of the grapes, which are then vinified through spontaneous alcoholic fermentation entrusted to indigenous yeasts. Subsequently, the wine is aged for 10 months on fine lees in large old wooden barrels, almost centenarian, until the final bottling, carried out without prior clarification, stabilization, and filtration.

In the glass, the Pinot Gris Vendanges Tardives from the Pierre Frick winery reveals a golden yellow hue of excellent consistency. Intriguing and sweet, the aromatic bouquet is defined by perceptions of quince, apricot, candied lemon peel, and pineapple that blend with hints of dog rose and acacia honey. The progression on the palate is smooth and rich, pleasantly fat and off-dry, excellently supported by the vibrant freshness and tasty sapidity. The finish shows excellent persistence on the fragrant sensations previously perceived on the nose. This Alsatian Pinot Grigio has a surprising longevity, presenting itself as a white for aging.
