The Pinot Noir by Voltumna is an authentic and energy red wine, made in the pre-Apennine lands north of Florence. It smells of forest berries, earth, undergrowth, aromatic herbs and blood and leather memories. The sip has character and volume, with dusty tannins and flickering freshness, perfectly calibrated between the rustic component of the territory and the intrinsic elegance of the grape.

The Pinot Nero from Voltumna is a Tuscan bottle that stands out for dynamism and energy, the result of an authentic artisanal spirit. This small natural production reality is part of Co.Vi.Bio, the Consortium of Biodynamic Winemakers, an association that brings together wineries with the common intent to produce with the utmost respect for the environment and the unique expression of the territory. Voltumna represents an Etruscan chthonic divinity, later taken up by the pagan cult of Ancient Rome, which became the supreme god of the Etruscan Pantheon.

Voltumna Pinot Nero is made from only grapes of the same name, coming from two different vineyards managed according to the principles of biodynamic agriculture. The harvest is done by hand after a careful selection of the grapes in the field, which are then transferred to the winery for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with part of the whole bunches. The mass is subsequently placed in old oak barrels for 18 months of aging, followed by a long resting period in the bottle before being released on the market.

The the color of the Tuscan Pinot Nero from Voltumna is an intense ruby red and slightly hazy. The olfactory panorama showcases aromas of berries, wild fruits, and aromatic herbs, enriched by earthy notes and sanguine sensations. Rustic and genuine on the palate, with remarkable elegance and energy. The delicate tannic grip and good freshness anticipate the conclusion of excellent taste-olfactory correspondence. A purely Tuscan interpretation of one of the most noble black grape varieties in the world, which has found its ideal habitat in the cool climate of Mugello. It is recommended to pair it with spiced preparations of red meats and game, which can enhance its varietal characteristics.
