The Red "Cancelli" is a wine produced by the Rabasco winery located in the hilly inland of Pescara, with a red grape variety. It is a wine with a typically artisanal character, with a straightforward and varietal face, offering an interpretation of great authenticity and typicity, in line with the best tradition of the territory. The vinification in steel preserves the exuberant integrity of the fruit, its expressive energy made of intense and ripe fruity notes, lively tannins, and pleasant freshness.
The "Cancelli" Red wine is born in a small family reality, which works with great passion and love for its land. The Rabasco winery represents the artisanal and peasant soul of Abruzzo wine, which has managed to preserve the true flavors of tradition. The estate is located near Loreto Aprutino, one of the most vocated areas in the entire region due to its particular geographical location. The vineyards are cultivated between 350 and 500 meters above sea level, in the shade of the Gran Sasso and Maiella massifs.and near the Adriatic Sea. The particular microclimate, influenced by the high peaks and sea breezes, is always ventilated and presents significant temperature excursions, ideal for a slow and perfect ripening of the grapes. The soils are predominantly clayey and in the countryside, the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture are followed, without the use of chemical substances. The work in the winery is minimized, precisely to allow full expression of the characteristics of the grapes, the terroir, and the vintage.
The "Cancelli" Red Rabasco is a wine that expresses a generous character. The grapes come from vines that are about 40 years old. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, with indigenous yeasts and without any temperature control. The wine is bottled without filtration. In the glass, it presents a lively ruby red color. The olfactory profile is intense with aromas of ripe cherry, red fruit, hints of underbrush and humus, nuances of aromatic herbs and spices. On the palate, it has a good body, with a lively tannic structure and a juicy mid-palate.juicy. The finish is persistent, with a pleasantly refreshing closure.
