Rosso di Montalcino 'Ginestreto' Fuligni 2022

The important winery from Ilcinese, Fuligni, presents the Rosso di Montalcino 'Ginestreto', a label capable of combining complexity and liveliness that ranks at the top quality levels of the Rosso di Montalcino denomination. The name of the bottle comes from the homonymous vineyard owned by the winery, which, like the rest of the plots, is tended with meticulous attention and low yields per vine. With the same scrupulous care, the grapes are processed, and the aging of the wines takes place for the Brunello in the old cellars dating back to the end of the 16th century and for the rest of the labels, including the Rosso di Montalcino, in the cellars of the former convent of Cottimelli.

Fuligni Rosso di Montalcino 'Ginestreto' is a 100% Sangiovese from vines grown in clay soils rich in galestro. When the grapes have reached the ideal stage of ripeness, manual harvesting and strict selection in the field and in the cellar of the grapes take place, which are then pressed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation in contact with the skins. Subsequently, the massis transferred to a Allier oak tonneau of 5 hectoliters, where it matures for about 6-9 months before bottling and final marketing.
