Samas' Agripunica 2024
The “Samas” by Agripunica is a white wine that is fruity, fresh, and mineral, with slightly marine hints. It is made from Vermentino and Chardonnay grapes grown on the coast of Sardinia, with vinification in steel. It emanates aromas of tropical fruit and aromatic herbs and has a soft, dynamic, and refreshing taste
The Sardinian white wine "Samas" is a blend through which the Agripunica winery combines its love for indigenous grape varieties, personified in this case by Vermentino, with a more international vision, represented by the percentage of Chardonnay present in the final blend. Thus, a label is born with a dynamic sip, where the salinity is a component that guides the entire tasting experience, both on the nose and in the mouth. A label suitable for all seasons, which always represents a winning card when you don’t know what to put on the table. A wild card to always have on hand!
This "Samas" is made by the Agripunica winery with a blend led by the white grape variety that symbolizes Sardinian viticulture, Vermentino, accompanied by 20% Chardonnay. Both varieties grow on predominantly sandy soils, close to the coastal area. The grapes are harvested during the early hours of the morning, to preserve the freshness of the grapes that, once they arrive in the facilities designated for winemaking, are pressed whole.whole, followed by a brief cryomaceration. Each grape then ferments separately in temperature-controlled steel containers. The aging phase proceeds, initially carried out for two and a half months in steel, of which 40 days spent on the fine lees, and then, after blending, for another three months in cement tanks.
The white wine "Samas" signed by Agripunica presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, very bright and shining to the sight. The aromas that envelop the nose tell of fruity and savory, marine sensations, enriched by pleasant floral sensations. On the palate, it is fine-bodied, light, slender, and smooth, with an energetic sip, from which a pleasant mineral thread emerges. All the beauty of Sardinia is encapsulated in a sip of this "Samas", a delightful discovery also at the table, where it versatilely accompanies different recipes and ingredients: it finds its gastronomic consecration with fish-based dishes.
