The Sancerre Rouge "Charlouise" by Vincent Pinard originates in the Loire Valley, specifically in Bué located in the Sancerrois wine region. The winery is family-run, and it was Armand Pinard at the beginning of the twentieth century who pursued his passion for winemaking and started the business. The art of winemaking and the careful and constant work has been passed down from generation to generation until today: Florent and Clément have managed to carry on the family legacy, designing and projecting everything towards the future, thus giving ever more prestige to the family business. The finesse and elegance of the label is an additional symbol of the charm of this winery.
The pure Pinot Noir grapes of the Sancerre Rouge "Charlouise" by Vincent Pinard are cultivated on soils where mainly limestone and clay can be found, and the vines are about 50 years old. The cultivation regime prohibits the use of herbicides or harmful chemical substances for the plants and the environment. The climate in this area is continental, but thanks to the breezes coming from the sea, it can be noted that both in summer and winter the temperatures never experience sudden fluctuations, ensuring good health for the plants and excellent ripening of the grapes. After the manual harvest, there is a light pressing in the winery and whole cluster fermentation, thanks to the intervention of indigenous yeasts. It ages between 11 and 18 months in barrique.
The "Charlouise" Sancerre Rouge by Vincent Pinard appears ruby red with garnet reflections; the bouquet of aromas recalls the underbrush, red fruits, spices, and in the finish notes of mint. On the palate, it has a smooth structure with balanced and well-integrated tannins, a general harmony that offers an interesting drink. It pairs excellently with traditional French braised cuts, but also with game and cold cuts; interesting also with first courses dressed with important sauces.a product crafted with passion and respectful of nature.
