The “Quarz” is one of the most remarkable and renowned Sauvignon wines at a national level; it is a very strict selection of grapes coming from one of the crus on which Cantina Terlano, a production reality with ancient origins that today is characterized by great modernity and the renowned quality of all its bottles, has decided to strongly focus, aware of the potential of this terroir. The result is a white wine of great depth, which, in addition to presenting itself with a sip of rare elegance and structure, is characterized by a pleasant salty return, an expression of a strong territorial adherence.
The “Quarz” is a pure Sauvignon Blanc that the team at Cantina Terlano produces starting from vineyards located at varying altitudes, ranging from about 200 to 900 meters above sea level; these are porphyritic soils that stand out for their reddish color, derived from significant mineral inclusions that in geology are defined as quartz porphyries. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest, ferment slowly at controlled temperature in steel, and then mature for nine months both in large wooden barrels and in stainless steel tanks.
