The Brut Metodo Classico Sparkling Wine “Sansannée” Marcalberto is a sparkling wine from Piemonte produced under the banner of genuineness. In addition to observing precise rules during the production process, the winery is completely focused on the production of Metodo Classico, a quality that can be perceived from the very first sips of the “Sansannée”, a bottle with a delicate profile where a certain “Piemontese” reserve prevails, favoring the slow unveiling of aromas and flavors over their vigorous and brazen manifestation. Excellent when one wants to try a Metodo Classico born outside the most well-known areas in Italy, to broaden one's knowledge.
The “Sansannée” Metodo Classico Brut Marcalberto is a Sparkling Wine that arises from the union of Pinot Nero and Chardonnay. The vines grow using the guyot system in vineyards located between the municipalities of Santo Stefano Belbo, Loazzolo, Cossano Belbo, and Calosso, on marl and limestone soils situated between 250 and 360 meters above sea level. After fermentation in wood, where the the wine remains to refine for about 6 months, the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, as prescribed by the principles of Metodo Classico production. The Brut remains to mature on the lees in glass for 24 months, and at the end of this period, the dosage, disgorging, and bottling operations are carried out. Throughout the entire production process, no clarifications or filtrations are performed.
The Metodo Classico Brut “Sansannée” Marcalberto develops visually with a straw yellow color, characterized by a fine-grained bubble, endowed with good effervescence and persistence. The nose presents a medium-intensity aromatic profile, marked by fruity notes and sensations that lean towards vanilla and yeast. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a dynamic and fresh sip, enhanced by a savory taste. A label that is suitable for brightening the aperitif hour, paired with various snacks and finger foods, but that also accompanies an entire meal with the same elegance, never tiring.
