Spumante Metodo Classico Rosé Brut La Palazzola
Artisanal
Callmewine's FavouritesThe Spumante Rosé by La Palazzola winery is a classic method of good complexity and elegance, matured on the lees for about 48 months. It is characterised by intense aromas of flowers, small red fruits, aromatic herbs and by a rich, fruity and juicy taste, with great vivacity and balance.
The Spumante Brut Rosé La Palazzola is the rosé version of the sparkling wine Metodo Classico Ancestrale produced by the charismatic winemaker Stefano Grilli in collaboration with the oenologist Riccardo Cotarella. It is a sparkling wine that, tied to the terroir of the Terni countryside, shows us an unprecedented aspect of the Umbrian wine scene. To sparkling the intense, mature grapes rich in aromas from the territory, the first fermentation is blocked by cooling, in order to avoid the addition of sugars during the tiraggio phase, relying only on the residual sugar naturally present in the wine. In this sense, the process is defined as 'ancestrale'.
The Brut Rosé La Palazzola is made from grapes of Pinot Nero, Sangiovese, and other varieties, vinified in an innovative and experimental way to allow the sweet and sun-kissed fruits of Umbria to achieve complexity and freshness. The technique consists of blocking the alcoholic fermentation with a rapid drop in temperature. After this interruption, the wine is bottled where, thanks to the remaining sugars, it undergoes a refermentation according to the Metodo Classico, with disgorgement carried out after 4 years of aging on the lees in the bottle.
The Spumante Brut Rosé La Palazzola is fresh and juicy, endowed with character and personality, as well as a surprising complexity that makes it appear atypical compared to the most common Italian sparkling wines. Characterized by aromas of red fruits, flowers, spices, aromatic herbs, and a juicy, fresh, long, and very savory sip, it proves capable of delighting every moment, impeccably accompanying lunches and dinners of great taste impact.
