The result is a soft and enveloping tequila, with deep notes of honey and toasted nuts, which are best expressed when drunk neat, in a moment of pure meditation
The ‘Reposado’ Tequila from the Mexican producer Volcan de mi Tierra is a distillate that stands out for its soft and toasted aromas, configuring itself as an authentic expression of the volcanic territory from which it originates. This land was shaped by the Volcan de Tequila over 200,000 years ago, a volcano that has molded fertile soils of volcanic nature particularly rich in mineral elements such as iron and basalt. The distillery Volcan de mi Tierra strongly respects the identity of the territory, interpreted through the combination of traditional practices and modern technologies.
Volcan de mi Tierra Tequila ‘Reposado’ is made from only blue agave grown on volcanic soils, a few kilometers west of the city of Guadalajara, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The plants are cultivated on two types of land: in the Highlands, at about 1,700 meters above sea level on soils composed of red clay and particularly rich in iron, and in the Lowlands, at about 1,000 meters altitude on dark lands. After cooking the agave, which occurs in a combination of traditional and modern ovens, the preparation is subjected to a slow fermentation between stainless steel tanks and American and European oak barrels, containers in which the wine remains to mature for months, often years, before bottling. The entire production process, from the field to the distillery, is carried out through a sustainable approach and without the use of additives.
‘Reposado’ Volcan de mi Tierra Tequila has an amber color with golden reflections. The broad and intense aromatic spectrum is characterized by aromas of apple, pineapple, and ripe peach, enriched by perceptions of honey, toasted hazelnut, and fresh flowers. Enveloping warmth and softness on the palate, accompanied by vivid sensations of ripe fruit, honey, and dried fruit.
