Verdeca by Donato Angiuli is a white wine from the Murgia region of Puglia obtained from a 48-hour cryomaceration. On the nose, it expresses fresh sensations and mineral notes, with white flowers and citrus and honey nuances. On the palate, it is soft, fresh, juicy, and has good sapidity.

The Verdeca by Donato Angiuli is a classic and typical varietal expression of this grape variety originating from Puglia. A white wine with a fresh and pleasantly immediate character, which draws its strength from its expressive simplicity, making it particularly enjoyable and versatile at the table. The Tenuta di Donato Angiuli is located in the heart of the production area of Gioia del Colle, a zone particularly suited for vine growing. The warm and breezy climate, good temperature variations, and calcareous soils provide the best conditions for quality viticulture, focused on producing elegant wines that enhance the main indigenous grape varieties of the territory.

The Verdeca vineyards are located in the countryside of the municipality of Cisternino. They are cultivated on clayey-calcareous soils with the traditional pergola training system and a density of 2,000 plants per hectare. A method that keeps the clusters sheltered from the sun's heat during the hottest hours of the day, ensuring slow maturation and a good organoleptic balance of the grapes. The manual harvest usually takes place towards the end of September, carefully following the ripening curves of the clusters. After a cryomaceration of the grapes lasting 48 hours, the grapes are pressed with a destemmer and then fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. To preserve the delicate varietal aromas and lively freshness, the Verdeca is aged in steel for a few months and then bottled.

The Verdeca is a delicate, elegant wine to drink young to enjoy the full expressive fragrance of its bouquet. In the glass, it presents a light straw yellow color with bright greenish reflections. On the nose, it opens with floral scents, citrus aromas, and white fruit. The taste is pleasantly lively and sparkling, with fruity aromas, great freshness, and a savory finish. At the table, it finds the best pairings with fish and vegetable-based appetizers or with seafood menus.
