Antica Formula" is a fine Italian Vermouth characterized by an unmistakable bouquet with notes of vanilla. Made from Italian white wines infused with various botanicals, including saffron from Iran and Piedmontese absinthe. Soft, round, rich and vanilla, it is the perfect ingredient to make the best cocktails, such as Negroni and Americano

"Antica Formula" is the original version from Carpano, of the traditional flavored wine. Its creation dates back to 1786, a date also reported on the label, when Antonio and Benedetto Carpano created, in their artisan workshop in Turin, the first version of this historic product with an absolutely unique, intense, rich, and elegant taste profile. It is still made today following the original recipe from the late 18th century, in order to preserve historical authenticity and business continuity. Its extraordinary success is based precisely on fidelity to the oldest traditions. A great classic that has never succumbed to trends, symbol of the Italian lifestyle in the world.

The Vermouth "Antica Formula" Carpano is born from a selection of medium-alcohol white wines, produced with native grape varieties from Romagna, Puglia, and Sicily. The botanicals are chosen with particular care: saffron mainly comes from the plateaus of Iran, wormwood from the Alps of Piemonte and Valle D'Aosta, and burnt sugar completes the combination of botanicals with its sweet aromaticity. The scents and aromas of the botanicals and spices are extracted through long and careful processes of hot infusion or cold extraction, following the ancient methods of the best tradition. At the end of the extraction phase, all components are assembled. The Vermouth rests for several months to find the right harmony and perfect balance before being bottled and put on sale.

"Antica Formula" Carpano is still today the Vermouth par excellence, to be enjoyed as an aperitif or used for the preparation of refined cocktails. Visually, it presents a dark, dense, and brown color, with slight amber reflections. Intense and rich, it is characterized by a bouquet that expresses notes of vanilla, soft oriental spices, orange peel, dried fruit, raisins, almonds, bitter cocoa, toasted hints of roasting, notes of medicinal herbs, balsamic memories of mountain herbs and Mediterranean scrub. The entry on the palate is enveloping, with a warm and broad sip that reveals a wide aromatic facet, of great depth and taste persistence. The finish is long and harmonious, with a return of spicy hints and citrus freshness. A great classic, still relevant and irreplaceable.
