Tripstillery is the result of an innovative project started in Milan by Flavio Angiolillo, a brilliant barman and entrepreneur in the field of mixology who had the far-sighted idea of opening a cocktail bar with a distillery. In fact, Tripstillery offers the opportunity to enjoy delicious cocktails made with the bases produced in the in-house micro-distillery, accompanied by quality food. Moreover, inside the premises each customer can try their hand at creating a distillate according to their own taste and imagination, complete with personalised label, under the supervision of master distiller Francesco Zini. Tripstillery is located in Piazza Alvar Aalto, in the shadow of the modern skyscrapers designed by the famous architect Gae Aulenti, and the name of the project brings together two of the foundations of this production reality: "trip" and "distillery". In particular, the first concept highlights Tripstillery's intention to go beyond the confines of the Lombard capital and establish itself in the rest of the Peninsula.
The products developed by the pioneering Tripstillery are purely artisanal, made in the small workshop located inside the premises. Here there is a vat for macerating the botanicals and a still for distillation. Most of the ingredients used come from the Lake Iseo area, where Tripstillery owns 16 hectares of land reserved for the cultivation of numerous species of herbs and spices.
Tripstillery's fine and original production revolves around gin and artisanal liqueurs. To the first category belong a classic Gin London Dry and the Gin 'Bari Edition', made with salt from the Apulian coast. Among the liqueurs stands out 'Oleato', a peculiar distillate with a Mediterranean soul produced with extra virgin olive oil, Taggiasca olives and olive leaves.
