Weingut Wolf is a winery located in the village of Grosskarlbach, in the Pfalz region (southwest Germany), founded by a family of long-standing winemakers and representing a reference point in the wine landscape of the Palatinate. The Wolf family has always cultivated their vines, albeit in smaller quantities and alongside other crops, particularly potatoes. It was Kurt, the father of the current owner Dennis, who first focused on producing quality wines, finally bottled under their own label. Currently, the winery cultivates approximately 18 hectares of vineyards in the villages of Grosskarlbach and Laumersheim, characterized by a very warm microclimate and limestone soils covered with a layer of mineral-rich loam.

Weingut Wolf mainly cultivates grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Gris, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc for white wines, and Pinot Noir for reds. In addition to still wines, Dennis also produces sparkling wines following the Classic Method. The work in the vineyard and in the cellar reflects the producer's philosophy, focused on biodynamic practices aimed at preserving the health of the vines and the soil. Vinification is done separately for each plot, and the grapes are cultivated without the use of herbicides, relying only on sulfur and copper to protect them from diseases. Then, the harvest is done late, followed by slow pressing and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Dennis's wines are characterized by a strong sense of terroir and represent the synthesis of his various influences in the wine world.

Weingut Wolf as it stands today is therefore the result of decades-long winemaking tradition combined with Dennis's experience outside the region. His history in wine includes several years abroad where he initially sold oak barrels, then studied viticulture and oenology at the University of Geisenheim, and finally completed an apprenticeship in Alsace. This allowed him to broaden his horizons in the wine world, shaping his production philosophy and approach to viticulture and winemaking. After working in various wineries, especially in France and England, Dennis returned to his family's reality to put his acquired knowledge into practice. With innovation and a commitment to sustainability, Weingut Wolf is preparing to face the future challenges and opportunities of today's wine world, while still maintaining its strong family tradition and respect for the terroir.
