Amaro "Santeria" by Istinto Sardo is an artisanal liqueur that authentically expresses the sunny, warm, and Mediterranean character of Sardinia. Its secret lies in the simplicity of its recipe, based on a few natural ingredients of excellent quality, which particularly enhance the aromatic richness of myrtle, a typical plant and true symbol of the island. The name is inspired by the ancient Cuban religion, as if to trace an ideal bridge between two islands and two cultures united by a history characterized by invasions, conquests, and sedimentations of ancient traditions, which have contributed to creating a set of customs that have never erased the roots of the island.
"Santeria" is an Amaro produced by a company that represents the soul of Sardinia. Istinto Sardo is located in Tortolì, in the province of Nuoro, in the wild heart of Ogliastra, near the National Park of the Gulf of Orosei and Gennargentu, which guarantees the presence of a pristine nature rich in biodiversity. At the base of the liqueur is the desire to give voice to the landscape of Sardinia and its excellences, in the sign of absolute purity. The amaro is made only with natural ingredients, without any addition of aromas, additives, or colorants. Its extraordinary aromatic richness comes from licorice and the leaves of Myrtus Communis, a shrub of the Myrtaceae family, which characterizes the spontaneous vegetation of the Sardinian scrub. The processing process is still conducted with artisanal methods, with slow infusions and macerations, which allow for the extraction of all the aromas. To the infusions of the botanicals, only alcohol, water, and sugar are added.
