The Amarone from Valpolicella by Marion is a fine red wine from the hills near Verona. Made from dried grapes in drying rooms, a typical technique of these areas that gives great intensity to the wines. Notes of ripe and dried red fruit, spices, and licorice enchant the nose. On the palate, it is a robust, significant wine with great warmth. Its complexity surprises and fascinates, especially in light of the great balance of the sip. An important wine for important dishes, to be tried with fine chocolates or intense recipes, such as the typical Pastissada de caval, based on horse meat.

The Amarone della Valpolicella is the most important and representative wine of the Marion winery, a beautiful reality of family character that produces excellent wines, capable of expressing very well the face of the territory. Although the history of Amarone is rather recent, this great red has managed to conquer the palate of the international audience in just a few decades, becoming a true ambassador of Italian enology. Its rich, soft, and seductive aromas, its spicy nuances, and its infinite taste persistence make the tasting unforgettable.

The red Amarone della Valpolicella Marion is born in an estate located in San Martino Buon Albergo and has vineyards in the beautiful hilly area north of Verona. The cool and breezy climate, mitigated by the presence of Lake Garda, constitutes an ideal habitat for red grape varieties that have dwelled in these lands for centuries, such as Corvina Grossa, Corvina Gentile, and Rondinella. The property is managed with extreme care and attention, with the aim of producing high-quality grapes. The wines have a traditional and classic character and express very well the traditions of a territory dedicated to viticulture since the times of the ancient Romans. The vineyards are located in a hilly area, on calcareous matrix soils, rich in skeleton. At the end of the harvest, the healthiest and ripest bunches are selected and placed in a drying room to dry from September to December. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperature, with a long maceration on the skins. The wine matures for a period of 36 months in 30 hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels.

The Amarone della Valpolicella Marion wine is a bottle that blends power, concentration, and elegance. A red with an important and demanding sip, which fascinates those who prefer soft aromas and fruity sweetness. To the eye, it has a dark red color with slight garnet reflections. The aromatic profile is broad and rich, with notes of ripe red fruit, hints of berry jam, spirit-soaked sour cherries, sweet spices, vanilla, cinnamon, memories of dark chocolate, roasting, and noble woods. Warm and enveloping, intense and deep, it has a velvety tannic texture and a long, harmonious, and very persistent finish.
