Vietti's Tre Vigne is a structured wine with an excellent personality, characterized by a pleasant fruity and floral bouquet, capable of telling the story of Piedmont's traditions and great winemaking history at its best. In fact, Barbera is one of the most important grape varieties of this region, which finds its most suitable natural habitat in the Alba area; Vietti, a producer who has always been appreciated internationally, is a master in interpreting this grape with "Tre Vigne," giving us an authentic and territorial label, where nothing is out of place.
The Vietti winery grows the grapes that give rise to this Barbera d'Alba "Tre Vigne" in vineyards scattered between the towns of Castiglione Falletto, Monforte and Castiglione Tinella. These are terroirs characterized by an important limestone-clay component, where the average age of the vines is around 35 to 40 years. After harvesting strictly by hand, the grapes ferment in steel for about 14 days at a temperature between 26 and 32 degrees; they then undergo malolactic fermentation in barriques, remaining in contact with their fine lees for about 4 months. This is followed by ageing, carried out for 14 months in both barrique and large oak barrels.
Tre Vigne is a Barbera d'Alba that takes on an intense hue in the glass, reminiscent of ruby red. On the nose, fruity and floral notes dance a symphony of elegant and refined aromas, also enhanced by light touches of sweet spices. It is of great balance and harmony in the mouth, with a full sip endowed with good complexity and a lingering finish. A truly well-crafted bottle, with which the Vietti winery confirms its reputation for quality, has seen it always at the top of the main Italian and foreign wine guides for fifty years.
