Bolgheri Rosso 'Yantra' Tenuta Sette Cieli 2023

The Bolgheri Rosso “Yantra”, from Tenuta Sette Cieli, is the classic Bordeaux blend from the lands of Bolgheri, a wine area in Tuscany traditionally looking towards Bordeaux. The particular climatic conditions and the composition of the soils are particularly favorable to French grapes, which have adapted very well and express themselves at excellent quality levels. The wine interprets the vocation of the territory in the sign of expressive immediacy, with a red vinified only in steel with delicate extractions, to enhance especially the fruity pleasantness of two extraordinary grapes.

“Yantra” Bolgheri Rosso is born in a young reality of the Tuscan Coast. Tenuta Sette Cieli was founded in 2001 in a hilly area inland from Bolgheri, characterized by a still wild and unspoiled nature. The estate is located in Monteverdi Marittimo and extends overall over 80 hectares, of which only 10 are dedicated to viticulture, in order to preserve a rich environmental biodiversity. The wine is born from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet grapes.Sauvignon from vineyards cultivated in the estate, at an altitude of about 400 meters above sea level, on medium-textured soils. The harvest is carried out manually between late September and early October, first for the Merlot and then for the Cabernet Sauvignon. The two grape varieties are vinified separately, with spontaneous fermentations and the use of only indigenous yeasts in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a maceration on the skins of a couple of weeks. The wine then matures for 7 months in steel tanks and ages in the bottle for three months before being released on the market.

The Bolgheri Rosso “Yantra” from Tenuta Sette Cieli perfectly expresses the young and convivial character of the bottle to bring to the table on any occasion, to share the simple and satisfying pleasure of a good glass in company. In the glass, it presents a rather dark ruby red color with slight violet reflections, which highlight its youthful exuberance. The olfactory profile is characterized by a lively fragrance, which translates into rich aromas of ripe cherry, blackcurrant,wild blackberry, marasca, hints of red-fleshed plum and nuances of aromatic herbs from the Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with ripe, rich, and juicy fruit, wrapped in a fine and seductive tannic structure. The finish is very harmonious and fresh, with pleasant fruity notes of good taste persistence.
