“La Croquante” Brouilly from Domaine Les Roches Bleues is born in a family-run estate that cultivates 9 hectares of vineyards in the territories of the Appellation Brouilly and Côte de Brouilly, in the Beaujolais region. The cuvée is the result of a balanced blending of grapes from different Gamay vines that are between 25 and 60 years old. The mild and sunny climate and the suitable soils, composed of the famous pink granites of the Beaujolais region, allowing Gamay to express itself at high quality levels. The harvest is done manually and the grapes undergo a brief whole cluster carbonic maceration, lasting about a week, which allows for a delicate and light extraction. The fermentation occurs spontaneously, using only indigenous yeasts. The wine ages in steel tanks for 6-8 months and is then bottled without filtration and with the addition of a very low dose of sulfites.
The Brouilly “La Croquante” from Domaine Les Roches Bleues is a red with a character that is typically territorial, expressing with extreme transparency the indissoluble bond between the production area and its principal grape variety. In the glass, it presents a beautiful vibrant ruby red, with slight youthful purple reflections. Exuberant and rich, it captivates with a fragrant bouquet characterized by aromas of cherry, small berries, hints of violet, and aromatic herbs of the Mediterranean scrub. Juicy and clear, it has a very delicate tannic structure and harmonious, crunchy, and soft aromas, which lead to a fresh and pleasantly fruity.
