The Calvados Pays d'Auge Lecompte 12 Years is one of those distillates that is hard to forget. It is born from the know-how of a production reality that has been dedicated to the production of Calvados for over a hundred years, following a traditional production approach that gives each label unique characteristics. A bottle in which the perfect aromatic balance is achieved between the scents of the quintessential raw material, the apple, and the more tertiary notes acquired during the long maturation period. The Calvados Pays d'Auge Lecompte 12 Years is made from apples grown in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, in those orchards that are among the best in the entire region. Once the cider is obtained, it is distilled in two 25-hectoliter stills, following a highly artisanal production process, monitored by the watchful eye of master distiller Richard Prével. At the end of the processing, the Calvados is transferred for a total of 12-13 years in oak barrels, where it rests acquiring interesting spicy hints. At the end of this period, the bottling and marketing operations are carried out. 

The Calvados Pays d'Auge Lecompte 12 Years presents itself to the eye with a color reminiscent of gold, crossed by some light reflections that tend more towards copper. The nose is concentrated, where the scents of ripe fruit and apple alternate with more spicy hints. On the palate, it has excellent body, layered, with a harmonious sip that flows with a sweet taste that matches the spicy and fruity notes already perceived during the olfactory analysis. It finishes with an excellent persistent finish. A bottle that is born in one of the oldest and most traditional maisons producing Calvados, perfect to give to friends passionate about this distillate.
