Carmenere Giorgio Cecchetto 2024
The Carmenere by Cecchetto is a fresh and spicy Veneto red wine, vinified and aged only in steel. It has a pleasantly herbaceous and spicy personality, played on notes of red flowers, pepper, aromatic herbs and berries. On the palate it is fresh, harmonious and balanced, with round tannins
The Carmenère by Cecchetto is a grape variety that takes little to outline its peculiarities. On the nose, the varietal indeed emerges with a typical herbaceous approach, expanded by spicy and fruity hints, while on the palate it flows with a typically fresh sip, from which a savory imprint also emerges. A label with which Giorgio demonstrates his knowledge of the history of the Veneto territory, giving voice to this ancient grape variety treated with modern enological wisdom while always respecting traditions.
This Carmenère is born from the owned vineyards of the Giorgio Cecchetto winery located around Tezze del Piave and Motta di Livenza. We find ourselves in a terroir composed of different subsoils: the plots of Tezze del Piave are of alluvial origin, rich in gravel, while those of Motta di Livenza are lands rich in caranto. The bunches are harvested with extreme care during manual harvesting, then destemmed in the winery. The must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in steel, macerating on the skins for a total of 8 days. Still in steel then takes place the final phase of aging, in which the wine matures for several months until bottling operations begin.
The Carmenère by Giorgio Cecchetto presents itself visually with a brilliant color, ruby red shades influenced by slight reflections that lean towards purple. Intense to the nose, it tells a story made up of intertwined herbaceous and spicy notes, also enriched by floral and fruity sensations. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a pleasantly refreshing sip, enhanced in its evolution by a round tannin that makes drinking enjoyable. A label that perfectly narrates the pleasantness that this grape variety manages to unleash in this chosen terroir.
