Chardonnay Vie di Romans 2024
Perfect to give as a giftThe Chardonnay from Vie di Romans is a soft and enveloping white wine, with typical subdued and buttery varietal notes, also due to the aging in barrique for 8 months. Notes of fruit, vanilla, and fresh almond enliven a full, rich, and structured sip
The Chardonnay Vie di Romans is marked by an unmistakable personality: since 1978, the company managed by Gianfranco Gallo has, on the other hand, undertaken a decisive turn, making rigorous and sometimes bold viticultural choices, capable of affirming a quality style of the highest profile.
Since the date of the first bottling, which took place in that very year, Vie di Romans has made giant strides, with a progressive cycle of viticultural modernization, the realization of the new winery, the vinification of the grapes distinguished by their origin cru, and the choice to market the white wines only two years after the harvest. In particular, the care of the precious factors of diversity of each vineyard has allowed Vie di Romans to deepen the particular interaction between grape variety and terroir that has naturally developed over time.
The vineyards owned by the Vie di Romans company rest on particularly fertile and well-draining soils, characterized by the typical colluvium formed by clays resulting from the superficial erosion of the morainic slopes: in this extraordinary territory, equidistant from the sea and the firstmountains, the Chardonnay Vie di Romans is born, produced in Mariano del Friuli. Of broad intensity and fresh, with a good alcohol content, this Chardonnay boasts very high aging potential, with an evolutionary peak that settles around 8 years of age.
